Opportunities and Challenges of Chinese Open Universities in the Era of "Internet + "

The era of ＂Internet + ＂ is a new time to begin the process of reconstructing the service model of all industry and ecological system ， and a new turning point in the development of education. It provides Chinese open universities both opportunities and challenges， and once again challenges open universitys leadership and innovation. This paper describes the opportunities and challenges faced by Chinese open universities in the era of ＂Internet + ＂ and calls for openness and innovation of the open universities. By focusing on subversive characteristics of new information technology ， opportunities and challenges that new technologies bring to open universities ， the strategic choices for open universities， the authors analyzed the grim situation that Chinese open universities face， and made recommendations to cope with the situation. The authors hope that this article will provide new perspectives and ideas for the transformation of Chinese Radio & TV Universities and the construction of open university.
