The Analysis of the European Classification Framework of Higher Education Institutions

大学地图是目前第一个专门面向欧洲高等院校的分类框架，在实施上表现为市场、政府、利益相关者和独立组织四种模式，其中以后两类的结合最为理想。总之，具有现实性、多维性和描述性特点的大学地图，将在增强欧洲高教透明度、推动欧洲高校多元化以及引导大学质量保障科学化等方面发挥日益重要的作用。

Formed in January, 2010, U-Map is the first classification framework that specially orients to European higher education institutions currently. In content, the system contains six dimensions and twenty-three indicators. In implementation, it shows four models of marker, government, stakeholders and independent organization. In conclusion, the realistic, multi-dimensional, and descriptive U-map will gradually play an important role in enhancing the transparency of European higher education, promoting the diversity of European universities, and guiding the scientific development in equality assurance.
