英文摘要 | General education is a widely adopted educational mode at the undergraduate level in American universities and it is recognized as their prominent feature. The four U.S. Service Academies that provide undergraduate education and training of junior officers for the United States armed forces, are no exception. This paper explores how the idea of general education has been accepted in these originally professional and technical academies, and further analyzes the characteristics of their general curriculum from several aspects including the contents, structure, credit proportion and instruction. |
