The Key Characteristics of the Best University Teachers in the Era of “Internet +”
The Integration of the Internet and higher education in China has embraced the era of “Internet +”， when university teachers have to reconsider their roles both in and out of classrooms. This paper discusses the key characteristics of the best university teachers in China based on the background of “Internet +” Education. First of all， the best university teachers hold firm beliefs in the profession of teaching， stick to the professional ethics， have a clearer professional identity， and also show their particular dignity in the world of the Internet. In terms of their knowledge and skills， they are familiar with technological pedagogical content knowledge (TPACK)， equipped with media and information literacy， and good at instructional design and educational research. Moreover， the best university teachers are effective communicators with peers， colleagues and students. They are also model learners in the Information Age. Finally， as for their daily life， they have healthy habits of living and also lead a happy life in the world empowered by the Internet.
