Asymptotic Embeddedness: Exploring Effective Means of Collaborative Innovation in Local Colleges and Universities

“嵌人性”理论奠定了新经济社会学的理论基础，其提出的个体或组织社会行为的社会“嵌人性”也 是理解当代高校科学研究与社会关系的新视角。地方高校要在自身发展的环境中寻找适合协同创新的实现形 式并达成其价值，大致要经历“嵌人”的三个阶段:第一阶段是以特定、单个成果为基础的经济利益嵌人，主要贡 献是推动高校科学研究走出校园;第二阶段是以类型、批量成果为基础的产业嵌人，主要贡献是延长高校与产 业合作的链条;第三阶段是以多层次、动态成果为基础的社会嵌人，主要贡献是完成地方高校以广泛的社会力 量参与为基础的协同创新实现形式。通过三个阶段的培育，地方高校才能实现创新形态的转变，建立符合非线 性创新需求的协同创新形式。

The theory of embeddedness lays the foundation for the new economic sociology， and the social embeddedness of individual / organizational behavior proposed by the theory provides a new perspective for understanding the relationship between society and research in higher education institutions. To find the suitable form of collaborative innovation in their development environment， local colleges and universities roughly go through three stages: the first stage is the embedding of economic profits from specific， individual achievements， promoting scientific research out of campus; the second stage is the embedding of industry from economies of type and scale， extending the cooperation between universities and industry; and the third stage is the embedding of society from achievements of various types and dynamic progress， completing collaborative innovation with close cooperation between a wide range of social forces and local colleges and universities. Local colleges and universities must go through the three stages to change the innovation form and establish collaborative innovation models that meet the needs of non-linear innovation.
