Two IRT Methods for Multidimensional Latent Class Parameter Estimation

測驗或量表的受試者如果可分成不同的潛在類別，但資料分析者並未考量此潛在類別的存在，而是將不同潛在類別的受試者之作答資料混合在一起進行分析，由於不同潛在類別的受試者可能具有不同的作答特性，此資料分析結果的信、效度將有可能產生偏差。為了避免此種問題，「潛在類別模式」即被運用來找出受試者中可能存在的潛在類別。但是此模式有一項強假設：屬於同一潛在類別的受試者，其作答機率是相同的。為了避免此項假設的限制，讓同一潛在類別的受試者之作答機率可以存在個別差異，結合了羅序模式及潛在類別模式的「混合羅序模式」因而產生。但是該模式基本上是假設受試者的能力是單向度，不適用於受試者的能力是多向度的情境。為了處理受試者能力是多向度時存在潛在類別的問題，本研究提出兩種以試題反應理論為基礎的資料分析法。方法一先後運用了混合羅序模式及「多向度隨機係數多項洛基模式」來處理資料；方法二則是將混合羅序模式與能力多向度的概念相結合，提出了「多向度混合評定量尺模式」。本研究可分成兩個子研究：研究一以模擬資料來檢驗方法一的參數復原表現；研究二則是以一組實徵資料來比較方法一和方法二的分析結果。研究一發現方法一的參數復原表現相當良好，研究二則發現兩種方法會產生不同的參數估計結果，但是對受試者所屬潛在類別的分類結果之一致性高達98%。這些結果顯示，兩種方法各有其特點。未來的研究可針對這兩種方法進行更深入的比較與檢驗。

The presence of latent classes in the dataset will cause biased validity and reliability results. To identify latent classes， the Latent Class Model is widely used. However， this approach constrains the response probabilities which must be the same for all individuals in each latent class. To relax this strong assumption， the mixed Rasch model is proposed. Nevertheless， this unidimensional model may not be appropriate in the multidimensional world. To control the influence of latent classes in the context of multidimensionality， two methods are proposed in this study. The first method uses the mixed Rasch model and multidimensional random coefficients multinomial logit model (MRCMLM) successively， and the second method combines the mixed Rasch model and the multidimensional model into a single model. A simulation study is conducted to examine the parameter recovery of the first method， and an empirical dataset is analyzed using these two methods for comparison. Simulation shows the first method can recover all parameters well. Empirical analysis shows both methods provide different estimation results， but the classification consistency is higher than 98%. Suggestions for future studies are provided.
