英文摘要 | The emergence of mobile communication technology allows us to rethink curriculum design and how to integrate mobile technology to support learning. Mobile technology has the potential to facilitate learning at any time and any place (seamlessly). However, traditional teaching materials have not fully prepared for students to become self-directed and collaborative learners. This paper introduces the method of transforming Singapore primary three and four science lessons into mobilized lessons. We describe our approach and experiences in deconstructing and reconstructing an existing curriculum through a co-design approach with teachers in a local school. After one year curriculum enactment and research, the teacher and her students in the experimental class have shown many expected positive changes in their beliefs and practices; students also improved significantly in their year-end science exam. In the paper, we share the methods for developing mobilized curricula for in-class learning that also extends to out-of-class learning to prepare student habits and competence in self-directed learning. |
