站在轉捩點的臺灣高等教育

A Turning Point for Taiwan’s Higher Education

本文旨在探討面對知識經濟的衝擊與全球化及國際化激烈競爭的挑戰，臺灣高等教育發展所遭遇的困境，並對困境深入檢討與省思之後，提出今後臺灣高等教育發展的新任務與新藍圖予以因應，以資有效化解困境與危機，進而為臺灣高等教育帶出新的轉機與美好的未來。

The aims of this paper focus on the critical influence of knowledge economy as well as the severe challenge of globalization. This paper includes four parts. First of all， it analyzes the changing environment and its impact on higher education. Second， it discusses and clarifies some concepts for rationally reviewing the current higher education development. Third， it stresses the importance of securing consensus for resolving the current turbulence and crises. Finally， it puts forward a strategic turning point for the new prospect of Taiwan’s higher education in the foreseeable future.
