生命教育─現代科技危機的出路

Life education as a way to encounter the crisis caused by modern technology

本文以「生命教育─現代科技危機的出路」為題，內容主要分成三部份。首先探討自然科學的研究性質，進一步分析自然科學與自然技術結合的現代科技特性，包括強調效率、專門化、工具理性的展現以及無法預知的力量等；其次從工具理性膨脹、消費文化以及科技對生命的衝擊等方面，來思考科技環境的危機；最後提出生命教育的理念與實踐策略，作為現代科技危機的出路。筆者認為，生命教育始於真實生命的面對，終於精神生命的創造。在校園中師生互動的每一時刻，老師對學生的尊重與疼惜，就是潛移默化的生命教育。所以生命教育是所有教師的責任，教師對「生命」本身的思考與領悟，將是生命教育落實的關鍵。至於生命教育的具體實踐策略，本文限於篇幅僅能從校園生態、師生關係、教學評量與學習的主動性來加以探討。期能拋磚引玉，讓生命教育的推動獲得更多的關注與討論。

This article aims to deals with the problems resulting from modern technology. The author propounds life education as an effective way to face the crisis in a technological society. Every teacher is responsible for life education because whenever they interact with students， their attitude not only influence students’ intellectual and moral dispositions but also set an example of respecting “the other”. If students can learn from teachers that life is precious and should be respected， they will not be antipathetic to the world and will live their lives seriously. This attitude is what we need urgently in a technological society.
