The Missions and Pathways of Comparative Education Research in the Age of Dramatic Changes

当今时代是一个大变革的时代，国际社会和中国社会的大变革正在推动着教育的大变革，从而为比较教育研究带来了新的挑战与发展机遇。在大变革时代，中国比较教育研究承担着阐释教育规律、总结教育经验、引领教育改革、培养国际化人才、推动国际交流等重大的历史使命。为此，中国比较教育研究必须拓展研究领域，服务国家发展，打造学科特色，创新研究方法，加强国际交流与合作，努力创建中国特色的比较教育学派。

In the age of dramatic social and educational changes both at home and abroad，comparative education in China is facing with new challenges as well as opportunities of development. In such an age，comparative education bears the missions to explore the rules of education，summarize educational experiences，lead educational reforms，train internationalized talents and promote international exchanges. In order to fulfill these missions， comparative education in China must expand its research areas，serve the need of state development，build research features，innovate research methods，strengthen international exchange and cooperation，and set up schools of comparative education research of Chinese characteristics.
