Analyzing the Policy on University Facility Naming in U. S. Public Universities ： A Case Study of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

本文选择北卡罗来纳大学教堂山分校为案例，描述其对于校内设施命名的指导理念，以及在该理念的指引下所建立的一套行之有效的操作制度，以透视目前美国公立大学校内设施命名政策的实践运作过程及特点，以期对当前我国大学校内设施命名的制度建设有一定的启发和借鉴意义。

Case studying the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill， this paper describes its guiding philosophy on naming university facilities and the effective operation system built under the philosophy， and interprets the practical process and features of university facility naming in U. S. public u— niversities. With the interpretation and the analysis，the paper tries to provide suggestions and inspiration for establishing the university facility naming system in China.
