英文摘要 | In a matter of a single generation, Singapore has developed rapidly from a third-world to a first-world country. This development has come at a heavy price, however. Even though it is always said that human capital is Singapore's most valuable resource, many talented individuals have been overlooked in the past 50 years and a large number of them have been rendered worthless by Singapore's examination system. These are people who have failed in the one-solution-fits-all streaming system that gave rise to the monolingual curriculum, EM3 stream, and the Normal (Technical) course. |
