英国中等教育考试制度（GCSE 和A-Level）曾被视为检验英国中等教育质量的黄金标准， 如今却因为非议太多而引发变革可能。非议最多的地方在于：考试标准不断下降, 引发分数贬值现象； 应试导向过于明显，不利于优秀学生成长；考试官员缺乏自律精神，违规跨界现象严重，针对上述 种种弊端，英国教育部和监管部门正在积极采取对策，力求除弊革新，重塑中等教育考试制度的品 牌形象。

The exam system of secondary education (GCSE and A-Level) in Britain has been regarded as the golden standard to test the quality of English secondary education, but now it may be changed due to too much criticism. Criticism is as follows: grade inflation caused by exam standards falling, exam-oriented system being not conducive to the growth for good students, examiners lack self-discipline, and too much cheating and illegal action. Aiming to these drawbacks, the British Ministry of Education and the regulatory body have taken active measures, striving to eliminate defects and reshape the brand of secondary education exam system.
