FAMILY EDUCATION AS THE SOLUTION TO ALLEVIATE THE IMPACT OF POVERTY IN INDONESIA

Poverty has always been a concern in Indonesia because its impact to human life is so wide. This conditions cause multiple seriously problems such as children drop outs from school and must be work to help the family economic， decreasing on family health quality， low level of education and finally it will be cause quality of human and family low. We need a change of condition. Indonesian families must be having a better condition in the future. Although， they have a low educational level it doesn’t mean that they can’t have a better living. One of the strategies to make it better is by giving family life education to Indonesian families. General purpose of this paper is to study about poverty and its impact in Indonesia and also makes Family Life Education as one of the solution to alleviate the impact of Poverty. Family education designed to empowers individuals within the poverty community rather than providing piece-meal solutions to specific problems. Only through empowerment can individuals and families move away from the despair of long-term poverty and begin taking advantage of opportunities that could lead to a better quality of life. Some of possible programs that can apply to alleviate the effect of poverty include a variety of parenting courses， as well as courses designed to strengthen family relationships such as， couple relationships， aging parents and adult children of alcoholic parent(s)， family life management program， and achievement motivating training.
