The Development of Test ofWh-Question Response for Children

本研究旨在編製一套用來評量學前兒童疑問句回應能力的測驗，並探討其信效度。以371名三至五歲兒童為研究對象，主要研究結果有五：(1)本測驗具有良好的內部一致性、重測信度、評分者間及評分者內信度；(2)受試者在本測驗之得分和「語詞表達測驗」（曾進興，1996）有中高度相關；(3)不同年齡組受試者在本測驗得分有顯著差異，五歲組優於四歲組，四歲組優於三歲組；(4)疑問詞屬性和有無圖片參照對學前兒童回應疑問句表現的影響有交互作用；(5)語言發展遲緩兒童在本測驗得分顯著低於一般兒童，並根據 ROC 曲線分析結果，提供三個年齡組篩選語言發展遲緩兒童的切截點。

The purpose of this study was to develop a standardized test to assess the abilitiesto respond to wh-questions for preschool children. Three hundred and seventy-one chil-drenaged3to5participatedinthestudy.Themainresultsofthestudyarelistedasfol-lows. First， Test of Wh-Question Response (TWQR) was characterized with excellentinternal consistency， retest reliability， inter-rater reliability， and intra-rater reliability.Second， the participants’ scores on TWQR correlated well with scores on Word Ex-pression Subtest (Tseng， 1996) of the General Test Battery of Children’s CognitiveAbilities (Wu et al.， 1997). Third， the scores on TWQR increased with age as expected.Fourth， there was a significant interaction effect between kinds of questions and pre-sence of referent pictures. Finally， children with language delays performed less wellthan typically developing children on TWQR. In addition， we offered cutoff points forscreening out children with language delays for three age groups.
