Information Technology Strategies in Canadian Higher Education: A Multi-Perspective Approach

The Canadian federation and provincial governments have implemented many important IT infrastructure strategies nationally and provincially， which laid a solid foundation for IT practices of teaching， research and administration at universities and colleges in Canada. Meanwhile， the IT strategies at university level have become an influential leverage to innovate the IT governance mode，achieve the strategic alignment between IT strategies and academic objectives，and change universities systematically in the information age. It is helpful to review the history and current status of Canadian IT strategies from federal， provincial， and university perspectives， which could provide experiences and lessons for the digitalization of higher education in China.
