英文摘要 | With the changing of social structure, Teacher education in the institutes of education in American universities is facing serious crisis of confidence. These institutes are slow in responding to the demand of society, possess marginal status, and show conflicts between academic and professional activities. Correspondently, the American education circle requires strict assessment be imposed on the teacher education programs in the institutes of education in American universities in the aspect of professional practice ability; and the curriculum system of teacher education be re-established to ensure the quality of the teachers in the future. The crisis, challenge and reform o f the institutes of education in American universities can be taken as reference for China’s comprehensive universities to be involved in teacher education. |
